The MetaLab Scoot Gang
We are excited to share a project that we’ve been working on for the better part of a year. Swipely is a great new way to share your purchases, recommend places and products to you friends, and save money. To get started, you can link your account with your credit card or simply email your receipts from almost any merchant. You can choose which swipes you share, and also automate certain types of purchases. For instance, if you go to the same coffee shop every day, Swipely will automatically share it with your friends.
There’s nothing more satisfying than pulling back the red curtain on a project you’ve been working on for months, and I couldn’t be happier with how things have turned out. We’ve been working closely with Angus and his team since day one, and it feels incredible to finally share it with everyone.

It’s no surprise that MetaLab loves Tumblr. In fact, everyone who works at MetaLab has an account. It is with quite a bit of excitement that - following on the heels of the beautiful Tumblr themes that we released last month - we’ve just launched our new theme store. It’s called Pixel Union and we teamed up with our friends over at 45royale to create it. It’s the first Tumblr exclusive theme store that we’ve seen and we’re emphasizing quality above all else.
Regardless of whether you’re a Tumblr user, we’d love to hear of what you think of the new shop; we’ve worked with some incredible designers to expand our theme library and we’re excited to show them off!

The most distinctive element of the typeface is its enormous lower-case x-height. In theory this improves its legibilty, but only in the same way that dog poop’s creamy consistency in theory should make it more edible.

Simplefolio is a clean, sophisticated theme that enables designers to put their best work on display in a clear and structured manner. Unlike most Tumblr themes, Simplefolio has taken the often cluttered text found in the sidebars and have placed them on separate, categorized pages, which are accessible by the tabbed browsing in the heading.
Photofolio is a beautiful and minimalist theme geared towards photographers looking for a modern and simple way to flaunt their photography.
